A week of adventure!
Year 6 Adventure at Mill on the Brue & Exciting Christmas Preparations
This week, Year 6 students embarked on an unforgettable adventure at Mill on the Brue, where they spent four days filled with excitement and challenge. The camp, which ran from Monday to Friday, offered a chance for students to step outside their comfort zones and engage in a wide range of activities. Highlights included thrilling escape rooms, where students worked as a team to solve puzzles, obstacle courses that tested their agility and teamwork, and high ropes, where many students pushed past their fears to soar through the air. It was an amazing week of fun, personal growth, and unforgettable memories.
Meanwhile, back at school, the Christmas spirit was in full swing! We had our first Non Uniform Day of this term, in exchange for donations for the Christmas Fayre and we were blown away by the generosity of our families. Thank you so much everyone.
Rehearsals for the Christmas Plays are well underway, with students preparing for their spectacular performances. In addition, festive treats and goodies are available for purchase, including Christmas Goody Bags, Snowman Marshmallow Sticks, and Reindeer Food, all raising funds for the school. Raffle tickets for the Great Big Christmas Raffle are also on sale, with exciting prizes up for grabs at the Christmas Fayre on December 13th.
We also received an incredible delivery of over 140 musical instruments, generously funded by POW, which will help enhance the school’s music program for years to come. And finally at home, the excitement continued as Sunday marked the beginning of Advent, with students opening their Advent calendars to start the countdown to Christmas.
It’s been a week of adventure, festive fun, and generosity—what a fantastic start to December!
