The School Day

Breakfast Club

There is a breakfast club held in the school hall from 7.45am daily.  When the time is appropriate they will be taken to their classes.

Morning Arrival

The main school gate will be opened at 8.35am.  The bell for Kingfisher, Penguin, Robin and Puffin classes will ring at 8.40am for your children to line up outside their classroom ready for a member of the teaching staff to collect them.  The bell for Flamingo and Bluebird classes will ring at 8.50am.

The gate will be closed at 9am ready for the playground activities to commence.

Afternoon Collection

The school day ends at 3:15pm.  Children should be collected promptly by an adult from their class teachers.    EYFS children should be collected via the bottom gate.

Children in Years 5 and 6 that have a walk to school form may leave the school premises alone.

This totals 32.5 school hours in a typical week

Getting To School

We are proud to have achieved a Bronze accreditation for our school’s active travel efforts. Our goal is to encourage as many families as possible to walk, scoot, or cycle to school. Not only is this great for the health and well-being of our children, but it also helps reduce traffic and keep the area around the school safer.

For families who need to drive, we offer our Park & Stride scheme which allows you to park a short distance away and walk the rest of the way. This simple step helps minimize congestion and pollution around the school while still supporting those who rely on cars.

There is also the option for bus travel, stopping on Worle High St. You can find out which service you would need via this link: Travel West

By choosing active travel, you’re helping our school and community, improving the environment, and creating a safer, healthier journey for everyone!

Break Time

A piece of fruit / vegetable is provided free of charge before / after morning break - for all Foundation stage and KS1 children.
