Welcome

Welcome from Mrs Rachel Jones, Head of School

Dear Parents/Carers,

On behalf of the staff, Governors and children and as the Head of School, I would like to welcome you to the Worle Village Primary School website.  This site is designed to be a source of information for our school community and a celebration of our children's many achievements.

We aim to provide an educational and social environment, which nurtures and challenges each child, enabling individuals to flourish and to achieve their highest possible potential.  We strive to develop lifelong learners and with this in mind, we aim to make their educational experience at Worle Village stimulating and one they will reflect upon in years to come.  Our environment allows children to achieve academically, creatively, emotionally and socially.

At Worle Village, we recognise that the partnership between home and school is one of the most important elements in ensuring that a child's education is a successful, rewarding and happy experience.   Staff value the support and commitment which parents offer both to the school as a whole and to their own child's education. We are very keen to have parental support for the school and activities, both in or out of class.

To support our parents, we offer high quality wrap around care with our breakfast and after school clubs so they have the flexiblity to work or pick their children up at convenient times.

We are very proud of our links with the local community, including St Martin's Church and other Churches within the area, Worle History Society, Avon and Somerset Constabulary, The Nut Tree Pub and other local businesses.

As part of the Kaleidoscope MAT, an exclusively Primary MAT, our aim is to share good practice, resources and training to ensure the children get a small school experience but receive an expert, outward-facing view of the community and access to a wider range of activities and experiences shared with six other like minded schools. As we share an executive headteacher, we have very close links links with St Martins Primary School and enjoy the benefits of shared space and resources across the two schools.

I hope that you find our website informative and please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Yours sincerely

Mrs. Rachel Jones

Head of School
