We are excited to announce that our school has reached an incredible milestone – we’ve achieved Platinum Level in the Modeshift STARS program, moving from Bronze straight to Platinum! We are the only school in North Somerset to hold this prestigious level, and we’re proud to be one of only 45 schools across the entire UK, placing us in the top 1.1%. 

This remarkable achievement highlights our ongoing commitment to promoting sustainable and active travel, such as walking, cycling, and scooting to school. It is a testament to the efforts of our entire community, particularly the parents and carers who have been instrumental in creating safer, healthier routes by walking or parking further away from the school. By reducing car use, we are fostering healthier lifestyles and a greener environment for our children. Our Travel Plan also extends beyond just the travelling to school as we try improve the area around our school at all times of the day.

Travel Tracking and WOW Badges 

We are excited to be part of Living Streets’ WOW – the year-round walk-to-school challenge, encouraging active travel. Children will log their daily journey to school, whether they walk, scoot, cycle, or “park and stride.” If they record two active travel journeys per week for a month, they’ll earn a collectible WOW badge!

Parents and carers can support by the initiative by : walking together, parking further away so the children can Park & Stride, or encouraging cycling. Your involvement is key and we really appreciate all your efforts.
