SEND LSA
Hours: 28.75 hours per week, term time only (Mon-Fri 8.30am–3.15pm)
Contract: Fixed term, required from 01/09/2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter) until 31/08/2027 initially
Salary: JG3 £24,790 – £25,183 (actual salary £16,477 – £17,307 per annum)
We are seeking to appoint a qualified, enthusiastic, and resilient Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 and in small groups, with SEN pupils in our new Reception cohort for September 2025. This role could also suit someone suitably qualified who has worked in an early years setting or someone looking to work part-time hours as part of a job share. If you are interested in a job share opportunity please clearly state what your days/hours preference would be on the covering letter, it is essential that the full week can still be covered.
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience of working with children in an educational setting ideally with pupils with SEN needs.
- Be enthusiastic, highly motivated and able to use own initiative.
- Have a good standard of general education evidenced by three or more GCSE’s at grade C/4 or above, including English and maths, as well a minimum of a level 2 certificate in supporting teaching and learning.
- Have good interpersonal skills with both adults and children.
- Be physically fit and willing to be trained in Team Teach.
- Have experience of working with children with additional needs.
