The Pupil Premium provides additional funding to schools to help improve outcomes for pupils who may face additional challenges. The amount of funding we receive is based on the number of pupils eligible for free school meals.

At Worle Village Primary School, we use Pupil Premium funding to provide targeted support and opportunities that help pupils feel confident, supported and able to succeed.

This includes:

• Providing additional support through a Learning Mentor and Speech and Language provision

• Offering extra help with learning, where needed

• Supporting families with the cost of school trips and activities

• Offering help with school uniform costs, where appropriate

• Providing experiences that enrich pupils’ learning and broaden cultural experiences

• Supporting and encouraging pupils who need additional challenge

• Providing learning resources across the school to support progress and attainment

Impact
The funding has supported pupils to make strong progress and has helped ensure that pupils eligible for Pupil Premium are well-supported in their learning and wider school experience.
