Walking, Wheeling and Winning — Worle Village Finishes 2nd in North Somerset!

🏆 2nd place in North Somerset — we'll take that!
🌟 We are so proud to share that Worle Village Primary School has been awarded 2nd place in North Somerset in the Sustrans Big Walk & Wheel Challenge 2026!
During the 10-day challenge (16–27 March), our brilliant pupils completed an incredible 1,295 active journeys to school.
That's 84.46% of all journeys made on foot, by bike, scooter or wheel. What an achievement!
Worle Village was one of 33 North Somerset schools that together clocked up 47,848 active journeys and covered more than 71,772 miles. We are incredibly proud to have played our part in that.
This result reflects something we see every single day, which is the commitment of our pupils and families to travelling actively and sustainably. Whether it's walking, cycling, scooting or wheeling, every journey counts and every journey makes a difference — to our health, our community and our environment.
A huge well done to every child who took part, and a heartfelt thank you to the families who make active travel part of your everyday routine. Here's to keeping it going! 🚲🚶⭐
