School Day Information
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club runs each morning in the school hall from 7:45am. This provides children with a calm and welcoming start to the day, with time to eat, socialise and take part in quiet activities before lessons begin.
When it is time for the school day to start, children are safely taken to their classrooms by staff.
Further information about booking and availability can be found on our Wraparound Care page.
Morning Arrival
The main school gate opens at 8:35am.
-
The registration bell for Kingfisher, Penguin, Robin and Puffin classes (KS2) rings at 8:40am, when children line up outside their classrooms to be collected by their teacher.
-
The registration bell for Flamingo and Bluebird classes (KS1) rings at 8:50am.
The school gate closes at 9:00am, allowing the playground to be prepared for learning and ensuring the school day begins safely and promptly for all children.
Afternoon Collection
The school day finishes at 3:15pm. Children should be collected from their classroom door by a authorised adult known to the school.
If someone different is collecting your child, please let the school office know in advance so we can ensure a safe and smooth handover at the end of the day.

Getting to School
We are proud to hold Platinum accreditation for our commitment to active travel. We encourage families to walk, scoot or cycle wherever possible, supporting children’s health and wellbeing while helping to reduce congestion around the school.
For families who need to travel by car, our Park & Stride approach allows you to park a short distance away and walk the final part of the journey. This helps keep the area around school safer and calmer at busy times.
Bus services also stop on Worle High Street, and journey planning information can be found via Travel West.
By choosing active travel where possible, families are helping to create a safer, healthier environment for our whole school community.
Break Times and Snacks
All children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 are provided with a free piece of fruit or vegetable each day to enjoy around morning break time.
Children in Key Stage 2 are welcome to bring a healthy fruit or vegetable snack from home.
All four-year-olds receive free school milk. Milk is also available for older children if pre-ordered on a termly basis through the school office.
Children should bring a named water bottle to school each day. Water is available throughout the day, and fizzy drinks or squash are not permitted.
During lunchtime, children have access to a range of play equipment and games, supporting active play, social development and enjoyment of their break time.
